Not one… but TWO brand new trucks in one day? Is this awesome or what???

Today Via Gelato made its street debut with owner Melissa Bow. Always nice to see a familiar face alongside a new concept.
This modern day Ice Cream truck is offering a fresh local twist on italian gelato. From her Green Tea Haupia, to Banana Lilikoi (with home made li hing powder), Melissa is using delicious local flavors to make her mark on the mobile ice cream market.

We saw the truck circle the block once before pulling the brake and opening up shop. And by the time the window was open, there were already curious people poking around to see what the little yellow truck was all about. And when the signs were posted, the gelato immediately started scooping.

They even have their own hand made, chocolate tipped cones. Yum!

We got a couple of mini cups to go, and of course one of those handmade cones, and were on our way.

Just like The Girls Who Bake Next Door, Via Gelato is brand new and doesnt yet have a set schedule or location, so keep an eye out for them, and we will be sharing their location on our twitter feed as we get it.
