The Blue Truck Teppanyaki

Just off of campus grounds, outside yogurtland on university ave, he has been at this location for over 3 years now, serving UH students and the fine folks of manoa. Always on time or early for his 5-8 shift, he has been consistent and reliable for years.
I walked up to the truck to check out the little dry erase menu, to see what he had. He often has specials outside of his regular teppanyaki fare. I wanted the seasonal fish (which was Ahi), but apparently he was out. No bueno. But it happens. Hopefully next time i get some. I hear good things.

Being in the mood for fish, i wasnt sure what plan b was, so i just went with chicken. who doesnt like chicken??

He threw the chicken pieces on the grill with his standard sides of grilled onion and zucchini. Seasoned and sauced them, and began doing his thing. Think Benihana, on a much smaller scale.

Since i was the only one there at the time, the order moved pretty quickly. (plus chicken doesnt take long to cook), and i was on my way with my plate.

The chicken was cooked well, and nicely seasoned. And for the price. the portion was what you would expect. It came with a side of the Garlic Teriyaki glaze, which was a little sweet.
